At peace with her son at her side, Wanda passed on Friday April 3rd, 2026, in Calgary at the age of 82.

Wanda Gillan was a loving mother to her son Drew, daughter-in-law Pam, her  granddaughters Nicole & Sarah Gillan. Aunt to Tanya Halliwell (David), Robin Thiel (David) Jahnis Gillan (Jeff), Sister-in-Law to Linda Gillan. Predeceased by her parents, Esther & Arthur Thiel and her brother whom she adored Jim Thiel.

Wanda's friends here in Calgary and so many friends back in Ontario will no doubt have fond memories spent together, laughing, smiling, sharing a glass of wine and playing cards.

Wanda's is now reunited with her beloved golden retriever Molly whom she loved dearly. Mom passed on a blue-sky day, with the morning sunshine beaming down, just the way she would have wanted.

As per Wanda's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service at this time.
