It is with heavy hearts and sadness that we announce the passing of Virginia Pearl Shaddock, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, partner, and friend, who peacefully completed life on her own terms on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at the age of 73.

Virginia Pearl Shaddock, born in Halifax, Nova Scotia in 1949, was a beacon of strength and resilience. She left an indelible mark on the lives of family and friends. Virginia Pearl Shaddock was the devoted wife to Gary Donald Shaddock (1943-2010) for over 35 years and partner to Bernard Baxter since 2012.

Her table was always full and she will be much missed by three generations: her daughter, Linda Blevings (Edmund), her son Chris Shaddock (Milena Radzikowska), step-son Wayne Shaddock (Sherry); her grandchildren, Elizabeth (Neil), Samantha, Kristina (Ashley), Matthew (Shannon), Jenna (Matthew), Chase (Kat), and Olive; and her great-grandchildren, MaKayla, Nyla, Darcy, and Nathan. She is survived by her siblings, Jimmy Wells (Sue), Camilla Wells, Susan Wells, and Keith Wells (Sandra).

Virginia Pearl Shaddock was the President of the Rifle Club in Cornwallis, NS, a passionate gardener, and spent the past three years as a dedicated volunteer for the Mosaic Church in Halifax, NS, where she coordinated and organized many church functions and made it a more beautiful and inviting place to worship.
