Life is short they tell us…treasure the moments they say. Today we are reminded of these words of wisdom in the loss of our brother, father, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. We will miss his infectious laugh that filled the room, his ability to share captivating stories and travel experiences to many parts of the world that left us dreaming, and that razor-sharp wit! He was admired and respected by those who had the fortunate circumstance to have crossed his path along life's journey.

A gentleman who gave more hours than we can count to help others, from Christmas baskets for those who might otherwise have gone without to the absolute joy he gave to so many children in his role as jolly old "Saint Nick."  His love of all things military made him a dedicated and selfless leader and he worked tirelessly setting an exemplary example of service to innumerable young army cadets.

Our lives will be different now without him and we will honor his memory with laughter remembering the good times and be momentarily sad when we imagine that our lives may have been a little less enjoyable had we not known him. Rest easy "Frank" you've earned it ….until we meet again.

Terry Alexander Martin has left a lasting legacy of two amazing humans his children Clare and Cody; a beautiful spirit in his much-loved granddaughter Madison; his brother Greg with whom he shared an unbreakable bond; his Aunt Beryl; cousins Mark, Kevin, Carol, Gay and Janice, and their families, and countless friends and acquaintances.

There will be no service at Terry's request and his family will distribute his ashes in a place that was close to his heart. Anyone wishing to give a gift of remembrance, a donation to the Veterans Food Bank or the Calgary Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.
