It is with great sadness that the family of Suzanne Martin (nee: Kennedy) announces her passing on January 12, 2022, at the age of 65 at her home in Okotoks, Alberta. Sue was born in Corner Brook, NL on July 17, 1956, to Adolph and Janet Kennedy. She was predeceased by: Marcus Martin (husband) 2019, Adolph Kennedy (father), Janet (Corbin) Kennedy (mother), Robert Kennedy (brother), and John Kennedy (brother). Leaving to mourn daughters Ashley Preston (Gavin) of Melbourne, Australia; and Robbyn Peckford (Brett) of Calgary, Alberta; sisters Mary Corbin and Jackie Hookey (Bill) of Corner Brook, NL; sister-in laws Theresa and Marjorie Kennedy, grandchildren: William, Jackson, and Evie, nieces and nephews, friends, and relatives.

Sue graduated from Presentation Central High School. She met Marcus, the love of her life in 1977 and knew immediately that he was her soulmate. They spent many enjoyable hours with their friends at the Glynmill Inn in Corner Brook before moving to St. John's where Sue was employed by the Bank of Montreal. She and Marcus were married in 1979. They had two daughters, Ashley born in 1983 and Robbyn born in 1984. In 1985 they moved to Calgary where Sue devoted her life to raising her two little girls. She was so artistically creative and loved making a house a home, sewing for the kids, making every occasion a special occasion for her family and friends.

Sue was one of the first women in NL to successfully complete the Canadian Securities Course and obtain a Securities license in 1983. Sue later in life attended Mt. Royal University. She won the gold award for French proficiency. She read voraciously her whole life. Sue's favourite author was Donna Morrissey. She always had the unfulfilled ambition to write a book. Her many strokes and declining health made this impossible. Sue will be greatly missed by family and friends.
