Obituary

Stephen Robert Morris passed away surrounded by love on Thursday, February 23, 2023, at the Foothills Hospital.

Stephen Robert Morris, known to all who loved him as Steve, was born August 4, 1958, to Grace and Gordon Morris in Toronto, Ontario. The younger brother to Peter Morris, Steve came crashing onto the scene with only 14 months between them. Steve spent his youth with his brother at his parent's Oakville Meat Store, putting on his hockey skates to play on the outdoor pond, tobogganing, and competing in lacrosse games with Rexdale, where he loved playing goalie.

Steve left school and joined his family's catering business due to its success and growing workload. He would spend his life in the food service business creating incredible events and memories for thousands of people. Steve and his family relocated to Calgary in 1990 and opened their own catering business in 1997. Steve was passionate about giving back and spent much of his adult life committed to the Calgary Lacrosse Community and the Stampede City Kinsmen. He also loved NHL hockey and NFL Football, being an avid Chicago Blackhawks fan, and a supporter of the Dallas Cowboys.

Being an exceptional husband, Dad and Papa was Steve's superpower. His incredible sense of humor, kindness, and unwavering devotion to his family is his greatest legacy. He lives within each of us, and we will forever work to live with his same sense of humor, his love for life and his passion for his family.

Steve is survived by his five children; and fifteen grandchildren.
