It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Stephen Chan, who passed away at the age of 59.  Steve was born on August 14, 1963, in Lafleche, Saskatchewan to George and Berline Chan. He was the second oldest of five brothers and is survived by his four brothers and their families Rick and Susanne of Barrie, Ontario; Henry and Tracey of Calgary, Alberta; Ken and Denise of Calgary, Alberta; and John and Rene of Calgary, Alberta. Steve was also a wonderful uncle to many nieces and nephews, namely Matthew, Jordynn, Braedn, Kiana, Gregory, Kennedy, and Hayden; and one great-nephew Kane.

Steve was a kind and gentle soul, who lived his life with simplicity and humility. He was a hard worker and spent most of his life working in the sales profession in menswear and later in automotive sales. He took great pride in his work and was well-respected by his colleagues.

Steve enjoyed spending time outdoors, often trying to outdo himself with his step counter.  He loved his sports and was an avid hockey and baseball fan, and loved food from all parts of the world.

Steve will be deeply missed by his family and friends. His gentle nature and warm smile will forever be remembered.

A Service for family and friends will be held in his memory on Friday, April 21, 2023, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Evan J. Strong Funeral Services South (5502 2 Street SW), to honor his life and the laughter that he brought to so many.
