Shary Jo Emery passed away May 6, 2022 at the age of 79, in Foothills Hospital after suffering a few short months in a nursing home from an acute injury to kidneys, as well as heart failure  and complications from pneumonia.

Shary is predeceased by her son Mark McKay in 2007 who died of lung cancer.  She is survived by her daughters Lorrie McKay-Banville and Cecile Chouinard-Adamo; grandchildren Bryanna, Ashley, Feather, Frankie, Nicholaus, and Avery; great-grandchildren April, Tripp, and Kaiden.

Shary was a beautiful, articulate, devoted mother, and loyal friend, as those who were close to her can testify.  She was a talented writer, singer, and very good cook.  We shall miss her generous acceptance of others and compassionate nature.

We love you mom.
