Shane is survived by his beautiful bride of 34 years Judy. His daughter Lindsay (Owen) Byrne, sons Connor (Lauren) Tennant and Cameron Tennant. Shane's first grandchild, the sparkle of his eye, Emma Raelyn Byrne. Also leaving behind his brother-in-law Charlie (Frances) Arnott; sister-in-law Sherry Kemp; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Shane was a rare breed, being born and raised in Calgary. When he wasn't cheering on the Stampeders, he loved to experience our beautiful country, from driving through the mountains to walking the harbour in Victoria.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the amazing nurses and volunteers at the Foothills Country Hospice for their care and compassion.

At Shane's request, there will not be a funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Foothills Country Hospice .
