On October 25, 2022, Robert "Bob" Parkyn passed away unexpectedly at his home in Chestermere, Alberta. Aged 66.

Pre-deceased by parents John Parkyn and Peggy (Young) Lecuyer. Bob was raised by Peggy alongside his sister Michelle, and brothers Brad and Greg.

A challenging upbringing forged a strong will to make something of his life. With a curious mind, a willingness to learn, and a technical brain, Bob graduated with a degree in Petroleum Technology from Calgary Sait in 1981.

It was during the same time Bob met and married Debra Musak. Bob and Debra raised three daughters, Shanda, Paula, and Alana in their lakeside family home. A highly successful 40-year career in the oil and gas industry aside, his daughters remain his proudest accomplishment.

With a sharp mind, a goofy sense of humour, and a love of laughter, Bob was an entertainer. Nothing brought him more joy than seeing the people around him enjoying themselves.

Bob also leaves behind his beautiful wife Josephine, and stepdaughter Pamela. Together Jo and Bob shared 15 years of love and memorable experiences living in all different corners of the world. They recently returned to Calgary to spend time with family and friends and to care for his stepfather Douglas Lecuyer, and 5th child "Bear" the dog. Please join Bob's family and friends for a celebration of Bob's life on November 13, 2022, from 1:00pm-4:30pm at 403 Local Eatery & Bar in Calgary's South East.
