It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a very gentle man with a wonderful smile. Robert Douglas MacLeod passed away peacefully at the Foothills Country Hospice in Okotoks on April 9, 2020.

Bob worked for many years as a Heavy Equipment Operator, a job he thoroughly enjoyed and cherished. After he retired, he spent his time visiting with family and friends, just catching up on life. Bob loved talking to you about the weather, so unpredictable just like himself. He will be remembered for his great stories and was known as our gentle giant and a man of few words. We will miss him immensely.

Bob is survived, and lovingly remembered by his partner, Margaret; his brother Gordon (Myrtle) MacLeod; his sisters, Anna Dandy, Ruth Craig, and Grace Stinson; his daughters, Louanna (Darrell) Jones, Heather (Peter) Ludwig; his grandchildren, Dalton and Skylar Jones; his stepson, Rod (Anita) Lepla, and stepdaughter, Karen (Randy) Mault; as well as five step-grandchildren and eleven step-great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, William Gordon and Mary Alice, and his sister Merilyn Meldrum.

May you rest in peace Bob and we'll see you on the other side.

A celebration of life will be planned for when it is safe for everyone to gather once again.
