Robert
Brett
Apr 5, 1952 — May 17, 2026
Born in Brantford, Ontario, Bob passed away peacefully at home after losing his battle with COPD. Bob came to Calgary in the mid 70's and fell in love with the city and the nearby mountains. He spent 14 years working as a banker for the CIBC ending his career with the bank in Ft. McMurray in 1992. In 2008 he started working for Ledcor Construction as the lead flagger when they started building the beautiful Bow building in downtown Calgary and was instrumental in forming the logistic plans for bringing all the trucks on to the site which carried every load of concrete and other materials. It was a very demanding job and heaven help the trucker that didn't comply with his scheduled time.
After the Bow was completed in 2012 and the grand opening in June 2013 Bob went on to complete 3 more projects for Ledcor retiring in 2019.
His is survived by his spouse of 18 years, Judy Thain of Calgary and his older brother Paul Brett of Toronto.
As per Bob's wishes he was cremated and there will be no service held.
