Paul left his earthly journey on January 26, 2025, after a difficult battle with mental illness.

Paul is lovingly remembered by his wife Barbara (nee Cooper), son Aiden (fiancé' Brielle), brother Terry (Rita), Father Len, and nieces (Chantelle, Alannah, Nicki, and Autumn). He was predeceased by his mother, Midge, and his oldest brother, Mike.

Paul was the youngest of three brothers. He loved learning about his ancestry, and he loved his relationships with cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents. Above all else, he was a dedicated dad and loving husband.

Paul loved music. He played his guitar and sang in many venues across Calgary. His favourite venue, though, was anywhere with friends and family. He could often be found playing and singing around a fire and surrounded by family and friends, including his lifelong Lakeview community friends, "The Lakeview Boys," who stayed connected from early school days. Paul lived his whole life in Lakeview, and he cherished his community connections.

After studying broadcasting at Mount Royal College, Paul had an amazing career in sound and video technology on movie sets worldwide, and he told many stories of the stars he worked with, perhaps especially Robin Williams. When the movie industry in Calgary changed directions, Paul began working with FedEx, where he met and charmed many customers and co-workers over 15 years.

The family gratefully declines flowers. Donations in Paul's memory may be made to Glasgow Grief Support Centre (c/o Calgary Health Foundation).

There will be a private family service, with a celebration of Paul's life held in May.
