Morag Sparrow passed peacefully on May 17, 2022. She was a kind and loving mother to her sons Tim, Mitchell, Graham, and Ron, and their families. Morag was a tireless educator and lifelong learner obtaining her Master of Arts while supporting a household of active boys. As a young woman she enjoyed working with Camp Easter Seals and this formed her desire to educate young people. Morag met Doug in Uranium City at the start of their careers, and they were married for more than 55 years. She was an equal partner and they discussed and made all important decisions together. She was a feisty, independent, and strong-willed woman with a natural ability to make people smile and laugh. She had an immense love of art and was active in choir, barbershop, and fibre arts.

Mom was a caring, kind, gentle, and grateful soul who saw the best in others and held no judgments. In her wallet, we found 'Love is the beginning, Kindness is the key to all the world's harmony', a statement that truly represented her. A medic said after spending an hour with her, "your mom is so lovely she made my day". We will miss her deeply.
