We are saddened to announce the passing of our Ukrainian Princess Michelle Lynn Ryrie who left us unexpectedly on February 28, 2020 at the age of 44 surrounded by loved ones.

Michelle was born on June 5, 1975 in Edmonton. She spent most of her life growing up in Northern Alberta, and most of her summers at family farms. Michelle met her husband Chris in December of 1989 at a work Christmas Party. They were blessed with their first daughter Ashley on October 19, 1993. Chris and Michelle were married on September 1, 2001. On September 1, 2005 they welcomed their second daughter Elizabeth.  Eventually the couple settled in Crossfield, Alberta making this their home. Chris and Michelle completed their family with the arrival of their third daughter Rebecca on February 23, 2008.

Michelle's life mission was to provide for her children. She was fortunate to be able to stay home and raise her girls while also providing childcare for several other children in Crossfield. As the children grew and entered school Michelle was able to volunteer with the schools. Michelle was there for all of it from school field trips, sporting events and most recently a once and a lifetime experience in New York with Elizabeth and the school band. Michelle spent her days providing for and loving those around her.

Michelle is survived by her husband Chris and her 3 beautiful daughters Ashley, Elizabeth and Rebecca. She is also survived by her parents Carol and Grant Albrecht, brother's Cory and Eric Albrecht and multiple nieces and nephews.

We would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at the Peter Lougheed Center for all of the compassion during our darkest hour. We would also like to thank all of Michelle's friends who have come to our aid and helped carry us when we could not walk on our own.

Miss me, but let me go When I come to the end of the road, And the sun has set for me, I want no rites in a gloom filled room Why cry for a soul set free? Miss me a little – but not for long.
