With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Mark MacLean Egan at 73 years of age on May 31st, 2022, after a valiant multiple-year battle with cancer.

Mark was born in Calgary, AB on January 17th, 1949.

Left to mourn are his wife of almost 52 years Joy "nee" Biswanger; his son and daughter-in-law Todd & Laura Egan; two granddaughters Kyra and Sarah Egan; a sister and brother-in-law Jean & Barry Remple; his niece and nephew Shannon (Albert) Brews and Doctor Michael (Leigh) Remple; and great-nieces and nephews, Finnlay and Asher Brews, and Courtney and Jaxson Remple.

Mark was predeceased by his older brother Daniel Shane Egan; his parents Ky and Carl Egan; and his mother and father-in-law Betty and Morley Biswanger.

Mark had a career in advertising that spanned over 50 years working at the forefront of multiple digital, print, and broadcasting mediums. Mark was instrumental in developing some of the largest advertising campaigns in Calgary's history and was the creative force behind the first-ever home giveaway in Canada in the early-1980's.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations to the Canadian Cancer Society .
