The family of Margaret (Fairy) Dolan is deeply saddened to announce her passing on April 27, 2020 at the age of 96 years. Her life was truly defined by the love she had for her family and ensuring that she brightened the day of each person whom she touched. She was kind and selfless and loved by all who knew her.

Margaret was born in Edmonton, Alberta but after the death of her mother Jenny, at the age of 2 months, she lived with and was raised by her Granny and Grandpa Frew on a homestead (in Ricinus District) near Caroline, Alberta. She loved living and working the land with a team of 4 horses on the homestead until 1947. Margaret married James Dolan in August 1948 and they moved to Calgary, Alberta in 1951 where they raised a family. She worked at Loomis Armored Car until her retirement in 1988.

Margaret is survived by her daughters Laverne (John), Linda (Curt) and Laurie (Larry); grandchildren Greg (Marny), Jason (Denise), Angela (Steve) and Bobbie (DJ); along with nine great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter (who all called her GG). She is also survived by her sister Jennifer Veld, and her nephew and niece. She was predeceased by her mother and father, James and Janet Frew; her husband Jimmy; her grandson Ivan; and her son in-law Greg.

The family would like to thank her wonderful neighbours who watched out for her as she lived in her own home, with a special thank you to Jennifer Spirk.

There will be no service at this time, but a celebration of her life will be held on a later date.
