Lorraine Anne Noonan was born on May 19, 1937, to Barbara and William McDougall, in Yorkton, Saskatchewan. She was the youngest of 8 children. Lorraine attended school in Rokeby, Saskatchewan, Forrest, Nesbitt and Brandon, Manitoba. After completing Grade 11, Lorraine worked as a clerk at Smith's Drug Store in Brandon.

Lorraine met and fell in love with Gerry Noonan and were married on July 20, 1957. They lived and raised their family in Brandon up until 1990 when they took the plunge and moved out west to Calgary. During those early years they had 3 children. In 1958, a son Wayne; their daughter Cheryl in 1959; and then another son, Neil, in 1964.

Lorraine loved to dance every chance she got. Her passion was cooking, and she was an incredible baker. Her delicious butter tarts, date cookies and brownies were the top winners, hands down. She loved animals and children who were sure to put a smile on her face every time. Lorraine was a gentle and beautiful soul, very generous and kind, always happy go lucky and friendly to everyone she met, loved a good joke and was always welcoming and accommodating. She truly Lived, Laughed and Loved.

Lorraine struggled, in her later years, with health issues and was diagnosed with Dementia, and in July 2020, she became a resident at Clifton Manor. Early this May, Lorraine was then diagnosed with Colon Cancer and she succumbed to this dreadful disease. Lorraine passed away on May 14, 2021, 5 days shy of her 84th birthday.

Lorraine will be sadly missed, fondly remembered and her memory will forever live on in all he hearts she touched.
