It is with sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our sister, mom, aunt, grandma, partner, and friend, Lesley Jaques, in Calgary, AB. She experienced a significant stroke and passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at the age of 72, surrounded by family. Lesley was predeceased by her father Joseph Kolodrubsky, mother Dorothy (nee Costello), and her sister Tori Thornton. She is remembered by her loving partner Rick Spencer, sisters Susan (Ian) Pallett, Meredith (Tim) Wollen, and Alix (Ken) Dawson, brother Fred (Rose) Kolodrubsky, along with sons Adam (Jennifer) Jaques and Brennen (Michelle) Jaques, grandsons, nephews, and nieces.

Lesley grew up in Prince George with five siblings. She maintained a close relationship with all of them throughout her life regardless of the distance between them. She married Bruce Jaques and started a family with Adam born in Prince George and Brennen born in Fort Nelson. Pursuing opportunity, the family moved north, living in several northern BC communities including Fort Nelson, Fort St. John, Dawson Creek, and Chetwynd. With the boys grown, Lesley moved to Calgary, allowing her to spend a lot of time with her sisters Tori and Meredith. There she found new love with Rick Spencer and could often be seen in the backyard of their Calgary home gardening or exploring the local farmers' market. Mom made many lifelong friends in the community and at the many places she worked.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a Memorial Service at the Parkland Community Hall (505 Parkvalley Rd SE, Calgary, AB) on Monday, September 25, 2023, from 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm, to say goodbye and remember Lesley through many great stories. Beverages and light snacks will be provided.
