Lee Rasmussen, beloved husband of Joy (nee Dean) Rasmussen, passed away on January 14, 2023, at the age of 65 years.

Lee was born in Calgary, AB, on February 25, 1957. He graduated from James Fowler High School. He was employed at CertainTeed/Gypsum for 35 years. Lee married Joy on August 20, 2016.

Lee enjoyed working on model cars and collecting die-cast model cars. He was a fanatic of the Calgary Stampeders and loved going to games with Joy. Growing up, he enjoyed camping and spending time at the lake waterskiing, and swimming with his parents, brothers, and cousins.

Lee was very proud to be one of the Santa Claus' at Northland mall; he also played Santa for his children and at his work's children's Christmas party. He will be remembered most for his kind, loving heart, and his strong work ethic.

Besides his loving wife Joy; Lee is survived by his two daughters Christine (Tony) Rasmussen and Courtney (Jordy) Rasmussen; his stepchildren Antonio (Joey) Arriagada and Christina (Omar) Said; his grandchildren Jenna, Alexander, Michael, Nicholas, Odin, and Ryker.

Lee is also survived by his brothers Randy Rasmussen of Sorrento, BC., and Greg (Tracy) Rasmussen of Calgary, AB., as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Lee is predeceased by his parents, Herman and Margaret Rasmussen.

Joy and the family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and volunteers of unit 38 at the Peter Lougheed Hospital for the kind and caring support of Lee and the family.
