Laun Douglas
Bell
1955-2026
On July 7, 2026, after a life well lived, Laun set off on his next adventure.
Laun was known for the remarkable gift of effortlessly brightening the day of everyone he met, whether friend or stranger.
He possessed an uncanny knack for knowing exactly where to place a chess piece, a car part, or a punchline. Brilliantly creative and endlessly resourceful, he approached life with curiosity, ingenuity, and a spirit of fun. His motorcycle treks brought him pure joy.
Laun's love of the outdoors, quick wit, and generous spirit left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him. He truly lived by the belief that every day counts, inspiring those around him to do the same.
Laun is survived by his "Fun Seeker" crew of family and friends, who loved him dearly, will miss him deeply, and will carry his memory with them always.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend whose greatest
joy was sharing life's adventures with those he loved.
In lieu of flowers, Laun's family kindly asks that donations be made to Friends of Kananaskis Country to honour his love for the mountains. Your support will help care for and preserve the trails he cherished, allowing others to experience their beauty for generations to come.
