Kent passed away in Calgary, AB on January 25, 2022, with his son Jess by his side and daughters Katie and Candace in spirit.

Kent was born in Toronto, ON on April 25, 1951. He grew up in Brantford, ON, and moved West in the early 70's where he met and married Jeanne Cameron. Living in Edmonton AB, Kent had a successful framing business and built their first home in Beaumont, AB in 1979, and moved to Nelson, BC in 1980 where Katie was born. Given the difficult economy in BC at that time, the family moved to Brantford, ON, in 1984. During the next 6 years in Brantford, Candace and Jess were born and Kent and his family enjoyed the opportunity to reconnect with his family and friends and spend time with his beloved parents, Charlie and Laura, who both passed away during that time. Kent and his family moved to Kelowna BC in 1989 and for several years he owned and operated a successful custom woodworking business, J&K Custom  Woodworking. Living in Kelowna, Kent loved to boat and camp with his family and friends on the Okanagan and Shuswap Lakes in the summer and ski at Big White in the winter. Kent spent his later years in Calgary, AB with his former partner, Debbie Harrison. Kent always kept life interesting and loved to make everyone laugh with his antics and sometimes eccentric behaviour.

Kent is lovingly remembered by his children Katie, Candace, Jess, and Jeanne;  brother Bruce (Florrie); nephews Neil and Nathan; Debbie, his extended family, and friends.

The family will be having a celebration of Kent's life at a future time; donations you may wish to make in Kent's memory can be made to your local Food Bank or the charity of your choice.
