It is with extreme sadness that we announce the death of Kenneth Winston Saunders, on Saturday, April 8, 2023.

Winston was born in La Scie, Newfoundland, on March 4, 1947, to Adolphus and Maud Saunders. At a young age, Winston decided to move away from home and went to live in Marystown. There he met and married his wife, Mary Farrell. They had four children together, A few years later, Winston moved to Truro, Nova Scotia, and stayed for several years, but then decided to move to Calgary, Alberta, where he resided until he passed away.

Left to mourn Kenneth is his ex-wife Mary of Halifax N.S; children, Troy Russell (Connie) of Port Hope Simpson, N.L, Darrel Saunders of Halifax, N.S, John Maher of  New Wes Valley, N.L, and Jennifer McKinnon Saunders of Halifax N.S.; seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. He is also mourned by his siblings, Lewis Saunders (Shelia) of Buffalo, U.S, Bernice Ward Green (Donn) of La Scie, N.L, Laura Rice of Labrador City, N.L, and Clyde Saunders (Marilyn) of La Scie, N.L; sisters-in-law, Mary Saunders of Grand Le Pierre, N.L, Karen West of Toronto, ON, and Shirley Parsons of Brampton, ON; and many friends. He is predeceased by his parents, Adolphus and Maud Saunders; siblings, Almo Saunders, Wilson Saunders, Harris Saunders, and Ivan Saunders; brothers-in-law, James Ward, and Pleaman Rice; nephews, Tony Rice, and Jerry Ward; and son-in-law Brandon McKinnon.
