It is with great sadness that the Matute family announces the death of Kemuel "Kem" Matute. Kem was born in Davao City, Philippines. He moved to Canada together with his wife in 2012. He is survived by his wife, Aiza; two daughters, Khylle and Kharina; and their son, Aivler.

Though he was only on earth for a short time, he is remembered every day by his friends and family. Kem had a sense of humor that lit up any room. He had a very kind and generous heart and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

There will be a Memorial Service held at Evan J. Strong Funeral Services on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at 3:00 pm. The family is asking for thoughts and prayers as they grieve.
