It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Kathleen Louise (Power) Parker at Foothills Medical Centre, Calgary, on April 30, 2022, after a long illness. We are comforted that she is now at peace.

Kathy was born in Halifax in 1957. Her three children will remember her as a loving mother who worked very hard to support them and take care of their needs throughout their lives. In her diverse career, she worked in Hansard for the Nova Scotia Legislature, and as an executive administrator and construction estimator for companies in Halifax and Calgary.

She will be much missed by her children Jeffrey Kelly, Calgary; Bradley Parker and Amanda Parker, both of Nova Scotia; and by her grandchildren Adrian, Haley, and Madison. She is also survived by her sister, Karen (Power) Conn; and brothers, Ken Power, and Douglas Power, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was predeceased by her mother, Anne (Holm) Hines, and her father, Kenneth Power.

Before leaving Nova Scotia for Calgary, Kathy volunteered as a home care worker, providing stress relief for young mothers by caring for their babies. She was kind and loving to all her family, and we loved her very much. Memorial arrangements will be made at a later date.
