Obituary

It is with great sadness and shock that we announce the passing of Karie Lynne Langlois who left us suddenly, but peacefully in her sleep Thursday, February 25, 2021 at the age of 53 years. She was born and lived her life in Calgary, Alberta.

Karie was a caring and loving mother to her only daughter Ashley Ross. She was the most loving and dedicated partner to her long-term common-law husband Jamieson Wayne, and stepson Steven Wayne. She was loved dearly by her surviving mother, Sharon Langlois Bugden and her Uncle, Dave Hulm. Karie grew up with and was loved by her four cousins, Darren, Brent, and Travis Williams and Nathan Goss.

Karie lived a simple life, but it was full of many adventures and memories traveling with her partner Jamie. They went all kinds of places together, mostly driving through the United States to visit Karie's life-long friends, Cheryl and Darren Grocock. Their most memorable vacation was perhaps their trip to Yellowstone. Karie loved to see the beautiful and amazing things this world has to offer. She also enjoyed going to the yearly comic expo here in Calgary and would buy tickets for the family months in advance so they could all be together and have a great time.

The relationship between Karie and her daughter Ashley was one of a kind, not only were they mother and daughter, but they were truly best friends. They both worked at Cole International, and lived within a five-minute walk from each other, they were inseparable. It has been said they were joined at the hip, as they were always together.

Karie was a caring and loving woman that would go above and beyond for the people she loved. She was a rare gem of this world and will be greatly missed by many. It is said that grief is the perseverance of great love, as we grieve this devastating loss we can take comfort that there is such remarkable love for her amazing soul.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the family is not yet sure when we will be able to honor Karie's memory with a celebration of her most beautiful life. A future date will be announced once we can all come together to commemorate this wonderful person.
