It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Joseph Pierre Agdomar at the age of 71, on Tuesday, December 19, 2023.

Born in Castries St. Lucia, Caribbean, on January 25, 1953, Joseph, grew up in St. Lucia, Caribbean, and many happy childhood memories to share. As a young adult he left St. Lucia, and travelled around the world on cruise ships, learning to be a chef. He eventually made his home in Canada, where he got his Chef papers and Red Seal. Joseph was a proud chef, loving to cook for his family and truly anyone, getting everyone together to cook a meal. Joseph loved to travel around Canada, cooking and making a living with his love of food! He loved interacting and feeding people his Caribbean dishes that he was proud of, he loved interacting with people. Joseph was classified as a Master Chef. He touched so many lives, with food and his funny jokes. In addition to his love of cooking, he enjoyed listening to music, especially to his favorite, Barry White. Joseph loved singing and making people laugh; he touched so many people in a positive way!

Joseph, affectionately called Papa Joe,  was a beautiful soul with a big heart, full of laughter and jokes! His laugh would brighten up even the darkest day; he was always the life of the party. Joseph's family was very important to him. He always said that family came first over everything. He cherished his grandchildren and grew closer to them before his passing. Joseph is survived by his Aunty Jane, brother Malcome, and sister Deesha. He is also survived by all his children and grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at Evan J. Strong Funeral Services North (3625 12 Street NE) on Saturday, January 6, 2023 at 3:00 pm.
