JoAnn Gravestock passed away suddenly on August 14, 2022, in the city of Calgary.

No doubt JoAnn is now enjoying a spirited game of euchre with her beloved predeceased husband of 43 years, Rick; parents Kathy and Ron; and parents-in-law Cecil and Isabella. Her memory will live on in her children, Dan, and Richelle; son-in-law Dan; and her four grandchildren Jazz, Brae, Kylie, and Addie, whom she adored.

Born in 1960, JoAnn was the oldest sibling to Mariann, Marlene, Sherry, Diane, Lori, and Jeff. Even at the age of 62, you could find her spending many sunny days at a local park enjoying a good swing and a double-double. She was a lover of animals, especially her two cats, Simba and Tipper. She worked regularly making thoughtful gifts of crocheted blankets for her family and friends and was always willing to help someone in any way she could. Spending many years as a cook, she could make a mean sloppy jo from scratch and the perfect peanut butter cookies, which Rick enjoyed by the dozen.

Although she left this world too soon, she is now at peace, reunited with her loved ones and watching over those who remain with a  smile.
