It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected and untimely passing of Jasmine Dawn Chapman of Calgary, Alberta on Sunday, January 8, 2023, at the age of 37. Jasmine was born in Thunder Bay, Ontario on October 24, 1985. She attended Port Arthur Collegiate Institute High School in Thunder Bay. Jasmine moved to Calgary, Alberta in 2006 for a fresh start. She is survived by her sister Candice Peterson; brother-in-Law Jake Peterson; niece Kaelyn Peterson; partner Kevin Komarnisky, numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, friends, and her beloved chihuahua Sookie. She was predeceased by her loving parents Fredrick Chapman and Diane Chapman; grandparents Donald and Freda Chapman; grandparents Petro and Josephine Smetaniuk, numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, friends, and her chihuahua Chicka.

Jasmine enjoyed camping, swimming, watching movies, listening to music, cooking, shopping, visiting friends, watching UFC fights, spending time around a fire, and visiting Banff, Alberta, and Invermere, British Columbia.

She loved her family, pets, and friends and would do anything to make sure they were taken care of.

Jasmine had a smile that would energize an entire room and eyes that would capture everyone's attention. She was the most beautiful girl.

She loved the arts, often painting and sketching beautiful works. It would allow her to combine her love of the wilderness and outdoors with bringing beauty and love to the world. Banff will never be the same without her spirit.

Jasmine was the most passionate sports fan, whether cheering for Canada or her favorite New Jersey Devils, she would rarely miss a game to cheer them on. We really wish she got to see another championship; they are having a great year for her!

Jasmine was a curious, adventurous spirit that simply loved the world around her. She loved her time serving as it allowed her endless possibilities to connect and brighten countless strangers' days. She would love to tell a good story.

Although she was a complicated woman and had a challenging life, she always had a beautiful smile, glowing energy, and a craving to experience new things. She is finally free of pain and suffering and at peace in heaven with her mother, father, and chihuahua Chicka. We love you Jasmine and everything will be okay.

She will be cremated, and her ashes will be scattered at a later date.
