It is with sadness that we announce Janina passed away peacefully surrounded by her children on Saturday, November 21, 2020. She was predeceased by her husband, Mike Obrocki; her mother Josefa Lotysh; brother-in-law Alex Rybakowicz; daughters Danuta Szala and Teresa Mulvihill; and her grandson Stephen Szala.  Janina is survived by her sister Teresa Rybakowicz; two daughters, Krystyna (Gary) Popp, and Elizabeth (Ron) Shirkey; her son-in-law Gary Mulvihill; her son J. Andrzej (Dixie) Obrocki; her grandchildren, Frank, Christopher, Sabrina, Tim, Jennifer, Nichola, Jeff, Andrew and Kaitlyn; and many great grandchildren.

Janina was born on Sept. 28, 1928 in Duszniki, Poland.  During the war she, along with her mother and sister, were forced to work in a German munitions factory. She met her husband in a relocation camp when the war ended. Janina and Mike married and had their first two daughters in Germany before they were relocated to Regina, Saskatchewan where they settled and raised their family.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the wonderful staff of Carewest Garrison Green Assisted Living  Facility.  A private family service will be held in Regina, Saskatchewan when it's safe to do so .
