Jacqueline Harkema of Calgary passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at the age of 54 years.

Jacqueline immigrated to Canada with her boys Martin and Rens in May of 2007. Over the years she worked in marketing, document management, energy and utilities, and finally aviation where she was beloved by her coworkers and friends. Jacqueline loved life and spent it traveling the world with her family and her closest friends. She loved to travel visiting the Caribbean, New York, San Francisco, or throughout Europe where she was born and raised in Holland. Here in Alberta Jacqueline would often travel for hours to find an authentic Dutch restaurant to enjoy some of her favorite foods she missed so much from home or to go out to take photos of the beautiful Alberta wilderness and landscapes.

Jacqueline is survived by her two sons Martin and Rens; two sisters Anna and Breziet; and her parents Jaap and Tini Harkema as well as many dear friends.

Jacqueline always saw the best in everyone and had a positive outlook on life.
