It is with great sadness that the family of Gary Scott Hammill announces his passing after a short but courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at the age of 65. Gary passed away peacefully at home with family in Chestermere, Alberta. He will forever be remembered by his children Chris, Mike (Brittany), and Siera, three grandchildren Bexim, Araya, and Maddi, the mother of his children Maggie (Bill), brother Steve (Lynne), and all of his extended family and friends. Gary is predeceased by his parents Bill and Francis Hammill.

Respecting his wishes, there will be no formal funeral service.  Instead, a Celebration of Life will be held by his immediate family. We ask all of you that knew Gary, and wish to do so, to take a moment to remember him by raising a glass in his honour on June 12th at 6 p.m. MT.

In lieu of flowers or donations, we ask that you reach out to your loved ones as only one thing is more precious than time, and that is who we spend it with.
