Fortunato Villanueva, 87, led a full life until he was ready to join our Creator on September 15, 2022, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He was born on October 14, 1934, in Zarraga, Iloilo, Philippines.

Fortunato is survived by his wife, Saturnina Villanueva whom he was happily married to for 57 lovely years. Together, with perseverance and determination, they raised and loved their children, Aurora Malcolm, Jovelin Malay, Julton Villanueva, Rodney Villanueva, and Girlie Duarte. He is also survived by his six grandchildren, Joric Malay, Mavill Malay, Quenelyn Malay, Paraiso Duarte, Philip Duarte, and Duhmar Duarte. Fortunato was fond of spending time with family and friends.

His passion for cultivating various crops, and his fondness and enthusiasm for making exquisite organic liquor from fermented coconuts made him be recognized and tagged as "THE JUNGLE WINE MAN".

We are very proud and truly admire the authenticity and genuineness he possessed. He was a jolly, easy-going, and optimistic person who always held a soft spot for children. He will be remembered as a man with a kind and pure heart.
