It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Else Nielsen (nee Lauritsen) on March 1, 2020.  Born in Denmark on October 25, 1929, Else studied and practiced nursing in Aalborg.  She met Carl Erik at a dance and on April  11, 1955 they married and soon after set sail for Canada.  They settled in Calgary, Alberta where they raised four boys, Dennis (Jill), Kenneth, Brian (Elizabeth), Rick (Tina).  They built a wonderful life together starting Stoy Concrete/Supercrete and then Unicrete Roof Tiles.  They really enjoyed their time at their Sylvan Lake summer house along with their Danish friends.  She was predeceased by Carl Erik in 1987.  Else also survived by her daughter in law, Kim, seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.  She was a wonderful grandmother and delighted in passing down many Danish traditions.  We will always remember Else as a true lady who presented herself with class and beauty.

We are grateful for the wonderful, loving care Mom received from the doctors and staff in Unit 73 at Rockyview Hospital and Chinook Hospice.
