Edith Kathleen Caputy, born Eda Chatterina Costamagna (Coste) on December 15, 1921, died peacefully in her sleep on March 29, 2020.  She is survived by her daughter, Virginia "Jinny" Caputy, her son, Gregory Caputy, daughter-in-law, Joy Bliss and grandchildren, Graham and Lindsay Boyack and Jordan and Jared Caputy.  She had been the loving wife of Igigi "James" Fabio Caputy for 67 years when he passed away on April 18, 2017.  She was the devoted child of John and Virginia ne Filippi.  She had been born in Calgary but spent some of her early years in Italy, the birthplace of her parents. She was the only surviving child to her parents following the death of twin, infant brothers due to the flu epidemic.  She was a homemaker in Calgary for all of her adult life although she did work at various jobs.  Her meticulous accounting abilities lent themselves to her working as a tax preparer in her later years.  She and James lived quite lives in Calgary, independent until the last 5 years.  She lives with us in memory and will for evermore.
