It is with a heavy heart to announce the passing of Douglas Darrell Hein, born August 17, 1955. Passing Peacefully surrounded by family at the Peter Lougheed Hospital on March 5, 2022. Doug was 66 years young. He was predeceased by his mother, Irene Lucille Hein (Andres); father John Frederick Hein. Survived by his wife, Nancy Elizabeth Hein; his two sons Chris Hein (Rachel) and Corey (Mackenzie) Hein; two daughters Jennifer Hein, and Tiffany Petite (Melissa); his brother Allan Hein; and two sisters Katherine Solski and Cheryl Johnson. Blessed with several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces as well. Doug was a social butterfly we can't forget his many friends. They know who they are.

Doug spent many years as Calgary Transit Operator and a longtime Barber with Calgary Center Barbers/Boshoff's Barber & Hairstyling. He loved camping, he was an outdoorsman by heart. Doug was also a very hardworking man, from a very young age from his time and work on the farm, through till the very end. Always had a list of stuff to do.

Doug loved a good joke. One of his favorite jokes (when he learned you were single) Why don't you get married? Why should you be the only one happy!!!!
