DONALD ALEXANDER MACKAY - 86, of Calgary, Alberta, went home to be with his Lord peacefully on Monday, December 12, 2022. Born November 19, 1936, in Inverness, Scotland, Donald was the son of the late RODERICK and MARYANN MACKAY.

After immigrating to Canada in 1958, the family owned and operated a resort at Batchawana Bay, Ontario on Lake Superior for a number of years. Following the sale of the resort, Don worked in real estate in both Sudbury and Elliott Lake, Ontario; then came west to Calgary, Alberta where he owned and operated Massage Therapy Clinics until his retirement.

Don is survived by his wife Joan; daughter Rhonda Marie McDermitt; son Roderick (Rod) Alexander (wife - AnnMarie); and sister Tina Davis (husband, Phil); grandchildren Matthew and Melissa; and five great-grandchildren. Don is predeceased by his brother Roderick (Derrick).

Don was a great student of the Bible and spent much of his leisure hours researching the Scriptures and documenting his findings. He loved life and everyone around him had a winsome laugh and always had a joke or two to liven the day.

He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
