It is with great with sadness that we announce the passing of Del O'Reilly of Calgary, Alberta on March 6th, 2022, at the age of 77.

He was born to the late Myrtle and Victor O'Reilly, on September 5th, 1944 in Castor, Alberta. Del met Brenda while working at the Holy Cross Hospital. They were married a year later on November 15th, 1975 in Calgary, Alberta. Together they raised four children: Ronda (O'Reilly) Borneman, Amanda O'Reilly, Jeff O'Reilly, and Jason O'Reilly. Del and Brenda's family grew from there to ten grandchildren: Shannon, Erin, and Matthew Borneman; Austin Varga, and Emily Badin; Lincoln, Nash and London O'Reilly; Hudson and Kinsley O'Reilly. He will be deeply missed by his two sisters Elaine Willoughby and Sharon O'Reilly, and cousins Larry and Carol O'Reilly; Tina and Cindy Hazard; and aunts Mabel, Lil, and Pearl.

Del enjoyed working as a paramedic, hot air balloon pilot, a long haul trucker, tour coach bus driver, and as an entrepreneur for many of his own businesses.

A young Del enjoyed drag racing and has many victories to boast about. He also enjoyed hot air balloon adventures and was a member of the hot air balloon association. One of Del's lifelong passions was riding his Harley Davidson with his wife and friends. Del would spend many hours in his garage welding and working on vehicles, he was a jack of all trades. His love of cars and motorcycles lead him to be involved in the community through the Mustang owners group, a member of the Studebaker Club, and a proud member of the HOGS.

Del had a large family and many friends and will be missed by all.

Del's Celebration of life will be held on April 6th, 2022

2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Braeside community hall.
