On May 26th, 2022, at the age of 79 years old, David Helmut Bald, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed on to be with Jesus.

He was born in Dahlbruch, Germany on February 26th, 1943, to Ernst and Mathilde Bald. He had three siblings (one brother passed away and two sisters who are still residing in Germany). He is sadly missed by his wife Renate, and their eight children Susanne, Simone, Evie, Angie, Dani, Mike, Ben, and Sam, including spouses and their nine grandchildren.

David was born in Germany and immigrated to Canada with his family in 1974. He has lived in many places, but Calgary has been his longest residence. In just over a week David and Renate would have celebrated their 54th anniversary. His vocation was Quality Control Inspector, starting out in Germany and then in Calgary and Vancouver where he retired.

David was an adventurer at heart and a devout Christian, who impacted and encouraged many hearts wherever he went. He was very creative, always coming up with new ideas of doing things. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends, and lovingly remembered by all the people he impacted.
