On Friday, December 6, 2019, surrounded by her family and loved ones, Colleen Tolonen of Calgary, passed away after her struggle with breast cancer and the afflictions associated with the disease at the age of 56 years. Colleen was born on February 21, 1963 in Victoria, BC to Andy and Noreen Meggitt. She was the eldest of five children. After moving around a fair bit as a child, Colleen ended up in Beaverlodge, AB where she graduated from Beaverlodge High School in 1981 and met her first husband Dale Cooper. Colleen will be deeply missed by Perry, her loving husband of 5 years; her daughter Amanda, son-in-law Darcy, and grandson Jax of Calgary, AB; her daughter Leanne, son-in- law Brandon, and grandson Connor of Helena, MT; and her daughter Vanessa and partner Pat of Regina, SK; as well as all of her amazing friends and extended family. We will be celebrating Colleen's wonderful life on Sunday, December 15, 2019 from 12:00-2:00pm at the Sundance Lake Residence Association (63 Suncrest Way SE). We'd like to thank the wonderful Staff and Nurses at Unit 47 at Foothills Hospital, Chinook Care and the Home Care Staff.
