It's with heavy heart that we announce the death of our mother, Marie Claire, Parent of Okotoks, AB, who passed away on March 23, 2024, at the age of 74.

She did many different things in her life. She worked in nursing until she got injured, then she tried her hand at becoming a restaurant owner and finally settled on becoming a line cook. She enjoyed crocheting, puzzles, beer, and a smoke. She was passionate about her family, her grandchildren as well as her great-grandchildren.

She left behind her daughters Michelle (late Chad) and Linne. Her granddaughters Tabitha (Kyle) and Allison (Mitch). Her great-grandchildren Taniesha, Cymphanique, Lola, Mikayla, and Juelz. As well as countless nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.

Mom was born at home in River Carnard, Ontario on March 20, 1950. Mom was the beloved daughter of late Edouard and late Gurtude Parent (Beaudet). She had many brothers and sisters: late Justine (late Bernard), late Denis (Teresa), late Henry, late Monique (late Paul), late Luc, Remi, Clem (Lillian), late Gerard (Cecile), Therese (Ron), Rose-marie (Moe), Louise (Joe), Angel (Jim), Lucie, Ernie.

Mom may be gone, but she will never be forgotten! Her spirit will live in each and every one of us, and her countless stories.

As per Mom's request, no funeral will be held, only a picnic in the summer, where we will lay her to rest with our dad. More details will come.
