Obituary

His family is sad to announce the passing of Christopher Allen Wenzel on Monday September 13th, 2021, at South Health Campus in Calgary, Alberta at the age of 62.  Chris was born in Palmerston, Ontario on April 26th, 1959.  He grew up in Harriston, Kitchener, The Lake and Aurora. Chris studied at the universities of Carleton, Brock, York and Toronto.  He had a Masters degree in Judicial Administration  and well as a Masters in Hospital Sciences.  Chris worked in many positions, from farm hand, orderly at Newmarket and SunnyBrook hospitals, elegant waitperson, hospital and nursing home administrator, owner of Wenzel's Construction and project manager Toyota, Western Ontario plant.

Chris was 'Larger than Life', a romantic at heart, made the most incredibly delicious all-in Roast Beef dinners accompanied by the ensuing exquisitely equally lavish mess, his family crepes were renowned, he was a pool shark, was uber fit way before it was cool, quite a handsome blade, Chris could be quite suave and debonair, a bicycle champion, he adored children, loudly making action and excitement wherever he went, Chris hosted extravagant parties, loved Stetsons, country music, pets, growing tomatoes and lived in Calgary, Alberta.

Sadly missed by wife Monica Wenzel Kalra, son Peter Raj Wenzel, and dachshund Lucy.  By son Christopher Johan Wenzel, wife Shauna and grandchildren Palmer and Tanner.  Daughter Julia Elizabeth Baskin (James).  Survived by sister Katherine Anne Leonard (Larry), brother Alexander Peter Wenzel (Lacy), sister Anita Katherine Wenzel (Andrew), and step-mother Anna Lottermoser Wenzel. By parents-in-law Satya Pal and Gulshan Kalra and brother-in-law Mohit Kalra (Neelam).

Predeceased by father Peter Hugo Wenzel (2008), mother Joan Margaret McCullagh (2019), brother Stephen Peter Wenzel (1956), brother Mark Robert Wenzel (2016) and brother Roderick Hugo Wenzel (2018).

A private Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday October 2nd, 2021 at 1pm at The Log House ~ Quite formal attire is requested.
