Christopher Adam
Scott
May 13, 1980 — Jul 23, 2022
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Christopher Adam Scott on July 23, 2022 in Calgary, Alberta. After a very short but valiant battle with cancer, he passed at the young age of 42.
Chris was a natural athlete, playing many different sports throughout his life and excelling at all of them. In more recent years his favourite sports included softball and mountain biking. Biking was by far his main passion. Winters were spent anticipating the next riding season, and when spring came he could not wait to get out onto the trails. Many weekends were spent in the mountains ripping it up; "hootin & a hollerin", as he would say, on the way down the trails.
Chris was someone who was true to himself, never compromising who he was for anyone. He had a witty personality, enjoyed making people laugh and liked to "say it how it is" (sometimes forgetting that he had a filter that he should have used). He was a man who loved hard with all of his heart. If you were someone he cared about, he would do absolutely anything for you, no questions asked. He was a stubborn and independent man who never wanted to be a burden to anyone, hence why his passing has been shocking for a lot of family and friends.
Chris leaves behind his two sons Gavin (Malissa) & Seth, who were his everything; girlfriend Erin and her daughter Natalie; mother Louise; sister Carmen (Dana); and so many more friends and family who loved and cherished him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at The Glenmore Inn & Convention Centre (in Calgary) on Sunday, July 31, 2022, at 1:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please consider donating to a GoFundMe page that has been set up for his sons, to help with their immediate needs. All funds will go directly to them. https://gofund.me/9ac91b91
