Obituary

Christina "Christy" René Peters, 43 of Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada left her loving family on June 24, 2022. Christy was born in Conrad, MT in 1979 to parents Pamela Sue Clark and James Russell Peters. She was the youngest of three children and was a bright, witty, talented young woman with an infectious laugh and a gentle, loving heart. She loved to write poetry, paint, and play guitar; and she sang with the voice of a songbird, which carried her through many difficult times.

Christy treasured being raised on a farm/ranch where she played, grew up, and learned the value of hard work. Mentored by her parents, sister, and brother, Christy developed the strength and grit of a Montana girl and carried precious memories of Montana sunsets wherever life took her.

Her family moved to Canada in 1990 where Christy attended school and was later employed. She imparted her talents and her love of music to her three handsome sons, Staven 22, Roman 16, and Wyatt 13. They will always remember their sweet mother's voice, her smile, and her undying love.

Christy is survived by sons - Staven Kennith Mitchell, Roman Patrick Penney, and Wyatt James Penney of Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada; sister - Cherilyn Rae Peters of Helena MT; brother - Matthew James Peters and wife Jenn Peters of Choteau, MT; loving and devoted mother - Pamela "Pammy" Sue Clark of Helena, MT; father - James "Jim" Russell Peters and wife Lois Peters of Post Falls, ID; grandmother - Betty Clark Mockel of Townsend, MT; her dear friend – Craig Mitchell of Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Christy was preceded in death by grandfather – Kenneth Philip Clark; uncle – Philip Scott Clark; great grandmothers – Verna Clark and Helen Smith; great grandfathers – Walter Clark and Stanley Smith.

She will be missed by all of us. A family memorial for Christy will be held at a later date.
