Please join us for a "Celebration of Life" for Chad on Saturday, May 27, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at Priddis Community Hall (178131 Priddis Valley Rd W, Priddis, AB, T0L 1W0). Parking lot on site, Snacks and Beverages will be available, seating and standing room, slideshow, memory wall, and outdoor mountain portrait gallery. Starting at 2:30 p.m. will be a memorial video and some stories about Chad. But please arrive at anytime that suits you, doors will be open throughout. Children welcome. There is a beautiful outdoor space, a playground, a gazebo, and a creek on the grounds. Please share with others who knew Chad, he would love to see you there.

A Son, Grandson, Brother, and Uncle. Dear friend, entrepreneur, trusted confidant, joker, and tech-magician to so many of us still here. Foster dad to several dogs and cats. Forever dad to Molly, Maddie, Meeka, Max, Leo, and Charlie.

His time here was rich with friends, adventure, and love. He didn't hesitate. He took chances, had fun, and took his friends with him. Loyal forever, truthful, and accepting of others; he was that friend who would help you through your worst times. Incredible listener. Attentive, patient. Quick-witted and hilarious. Always saying something under his breath that you're just lucky to catch on to. He's been making people laugh at themselves since 1979. Low key and quiet...until you get him going, then loud. Also, annoyingly mysterious. We still have so many burning questions Chad, please come back! He understood people. He observed others and knew things about them, things they didn't even know about themselves. He always knew how to truly love and support his people, and how to insult us in a way that made us love him more. Every joke he made at our expense was a love letter from him; a proclamation of just how well he knew ya. Plainly put a funny and incredible human who has left us way too soon.

Born in Lethbridge in 1975, his family moved to Calgary in 1980, and it's been his home base ever since. Though he's lived in many other places (Vegas, Vancouver, the island, Hawaii), this little prairie-mountain city has always been his place.

From a very young age, he started up his own projects and businesses. He was actually an empire builder, (if you know you know), and now you know. He mastered the Internet before it was even called the Internet. He bought domains like insurance.com and building.com (and hundreds more) before any of us knew how to get online. Getting in early gave him such enormous payoffs he was able to travel whenever he wanted, and so he did. Every adventure leading him onto the next one. After the internet became stale, he went corporate. But even while employed, he was always his own boss. Even recently, he launched a drop shipping company with a mission to sell hilarious mugs, brightening the lives of office workers across America. With mugs like "Here We F#*king Go Again - I mean Good Morning", he knew that what people needed most was to laugh. Chad connected with many people through his work at Lafarge and joined in on everything: baseball (Team BrokeBats), bowling, drinks, hikes, rafting, fishing, scootering, and dog walks. In 2019, he hiked nearly every major peak in the Banff/Canmore area, and also, he was a self-taught car mechanic. He took apart whole cars and put them back together again, just to understand exactly how they worked. Crashed some cars too, and definitely came close to death many times before this. But he was never one to be afraid. A one of a kind mind and man, and we wish we had more time with him.

Chad will live on in the hearts of his father and mother, Larry (partner Gisele), and Sue (partner Richard); his siblings, Wes (spouse Chelsea,) and Ava (spouse Jamie); his nephews, Ayden, and Everest; Grandmother Hazel; his brother from another mother Tim; his soulmate Jessica; and so many friends and family that love him.

Chad was born on November 6, 1975, and passed away on April 17, 2023. He left us much too soon. But our memories with him will never be forgotten.

Chad endured a brain aneurysm rupture on March 20, 2023, and spent his last days in the ICU surrounded by family and friends, all praying for his recovery. Even though he had a very slim chance for survival upon his arrival to the hospital, we are grateful for the extra time we did have with him. We'll love you forever Chad. RIP.
