Carolyn Nora
Rea
Apr 13, 1969 — Feb 20, 2022
Carolyn Nora Rea, age 52, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 20, 2022, at Peter Lougheed Hospital. She was born April 13, 1969, in Calgary, Alberta, to John and Laurie Rea. Carolyn was a caring and inspirational person who touched the lives of all that knew her. She had a way to bring light to even the darkest days.
Carolyn had so much love to give; to her family, and to her friends. You could spend hours talking, laughing, and crying with her. She believed in strong connections and everlasting bonds. It was as if when you were around her, time ceased to exist. But now only the memories will remain, strong as ever, with her loving family and friends.
She is survived by her loving partner Ross Murray with whom she raised three beautiful children; Glenn Carlson, Jorden Murray, and Kayleann Murray. Predeceased by her mother, Laurie Rea; stepfather, Glen Pederson; and her sister, Mary Ellen Pearce. Her untimely death was a shock to her family and friends as her fight with cancer seemed to be in her favor. But heaven now has another welcomed guest to help guide the rest of us to our final destination.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Wild Rose Brewery, 4580 Quesnay Wood Dr, SW, Calgary AB on April 9, 2022, at 2:00 pm.
My Mother kept a garden.
A garden of the heart;
She planted all the good things,
That gave my life it's start.
She turned me to the sunshine,
And encouraged me to dream;
Fostering and nurturing
The seeds of self-esteem.
And when the winds and rains came,
She protected me enough;
But not too much, she knew I'd need
To stand up strong and tough.
Her constant good example,
Always taught me right from wrong;
Markers for my pathway
To last my whole life long.
I am my Mother's garden,
I am her legacy.
And I hope today she feels the love,
Reflected back from me.
