Carol was born to Campbell & Jessie (nee McLaughlin) Thompson in Regina, SK on March 25,1942. and was the oldest sister to Joan (Marvin Matt) and Sharon (William Sherman), and aunt to Tyler Matt (Lana), Jessica Matt (Sean) and Randy Sherman.
She met the love of her life on October 23, 1960 and finally married Ronald George Phillips on August 31, 1963. Their union led to three daughters Carron (Neil Moore), Jo-Anne (Danny Boudreau) and Glenys (Darcy Johnson), and two grandsons Shaun Moore and Maddox Johnson.
Carol was a sister-in-law to Royston Phillips (Vivian), aunt to their children John (Janet), Robert (Diane) and Michael (Dawn), and great aunt to their kids.
Carol was a daughter, cousin, sister, pianist, singer, seamstress, teacher, wife, sister-in-law, aunt, mother, book-keeper, great-aunt, grandma and was always the loudest cheerleader, biggest supporter and fiercest advocate. She was a force of nature with a will of steel. She loved with her whole being, and has many adopted kids who can attest to the strength of that love.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Evan J. Strong Funeral Services North (3625 12 St NE) on Wednesday September 25, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. For those unable to attend in person a recording will be available below.
