On November 2, Mom slipped peacefully from us to join Dad in her eternal home. All 4 of her children; Tammy, Toby , Tracey and Terry were present, surrounding her with love during her last days. She accepted this passage with peace and dignity.

These years since Dad died had been very difficult for Mom with many losses and much heartache. Two years ago Mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. As she entered assisted living, needing the support of a professional caring community— it came at a difficult time, with Covid creating all kinds of chaos and isolation.

We have been so proud of her, she remained feisty and sarcastic, but she also softened and worked to accept gracefully the losses that came her way. At Prince of Peace, she was known for her sharp-edged humour and her gentle smile. In the last days at her bedside we became aware of how deeply she was loved and cared for by the staff at Prince of Peace. Along with some sweet and attentive neighbours. This warmed our hearts, it is something for which we will always be grateful.

Mom was born in Shaunavon, Saskatchewan in 1938. She grew up on a small family farm with her parents, Art and Marion Morrow, and her older sister Arlene. Photos show her dolls, tea parties, games, and animals—of course.

In 1960 she met and married the love of her life. When Abe was alive, they were an inseparable pair, for 57 years. They raised 4 children and in time they welcomed 18 grandchildren. They were involved, loved the kids and all of the action.

Mom was fiercely competitive in game play - which forms the basis for some of the grandkids' favourite memories of her.

She loved to spend time on the boat, she and Dad passed many hours soaking up the sun and fishing. They generously shared that activity with their friends and family. Mom and Dad loved their people!

Based on one of the photos in her collection, her Mother may have been a better fisherman than she - but it did not dampen Mom's enthusiasm for this activity.

Mom and Dad had a strong faith and were deeply involved in their church community over the years, with many friends and connections. We imagine that Mom is now united with her friends and family. It is a great comfort to us that she will never be alone again

Thankyou to all who loved, cared for Mom and reached out to her in these final years.

One of the last things that Mom spoke aloud was in response to being asked how she was. She awoke from a deep state and replied "I'm wonderful!" We were shocked, delighted and reassured. It seemed that she was already on her way to a better place ❤️
