At the age of 85 years young, Bertha passed away peacefully in hospice care in Calgary, Alberta while holding a hand of family.  Words can never fully express the appreciation of all the caring talented hearts who looked after her.  Bertha was welcomed back for Palliative Care with open arms from the amazing staff of the McKenzie Towne Retirement Residence, where she'd been happily living for several years.  A large thank you to the team of so many caring individuals, which included staff from the Norica Nursing Agency, who with family were with Mom around the clock. A memorial service will be planned sometime in the future, please check back for details to follow.  In lieu of flowers a donation to your favourite charity would be appreciated.  Or, plant something and watch it grow....
