Ben Funk resident of Hanna, AB passed away Monday, September 12, 2022, in Rockyview General Hospital in Calgary, AB with his son Lloyd, daughter-in-law Lori, his daughter Sherry and his wife Virginia by his side.

Ben was born in Steinbach, MN to Martin and Katharina Funk on July 19, 1943. Ben was raised with his siblings Lawrence, Harry, Leslie, Betty, Helen, Diana, Roy, Elaine, and Sharon.

Ben was a man who loved to work with his hands in mechanics and woodworking. He also had a lot of joy in music playing guitars with his friends, and family for his church, and community.

Ben leaves behind to mourn his wife Virginia; son Llyod and wife Lori; son Dean and wife Teresa; daughter Sherry and husband Grant; and grandchildren Leslie (James), David, Courtney, Jared (Tyra), Liam, and Amara.

Ben was predeceased by his wife and mother of his children Helen Funk; their son Todd; and his second wife Carol Funk.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Hanna, AB on Friday, September 16, 2022, at Hanna 7th Day Adventist Church (801 Centre Street) at 4:00 pm.
