It is with great sadness that we grieve the loss of Anne Stella Renkas, who passed away suddenly and peacefully on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at the age of 72.

Anne was born on December 7, 1950, in Ituna, Saskatchewan, where she became a daughter of Mike C. and Olga (Bohay) Korchinski. She grew up on her family farm, just outside of Hubbard, Saskatchewan, where she received her education at Lake Star School, Hubbard School, and Ituna High School. Anne stayed and helped on the family farm until she married Allan Renkas on August 4, 1979. After their marriage they moved to Calgary, Alberta, where Anne was blessed with two daughters, Amanda and Alicia, who she then devoted her life to raising. As her daughters grew older Anne decided to join the workforce, so she started a job at a Bakery. In 2007, her husband Allan Renkas passed away, but Anne remained at her house and worked till her first grandchild Alexis was born. After a while, Anne returned to the workforce and worked in the seasonal section at Canadian Tire. Anne loved working at Canadian Tire, and she spent her time talking with people and giving them advice on gardening. Anne won many awards for her customer service, and in 2017 Anne finally retired and took a well-deserved break from the workforce.

She then devoted all her spare time to her children and enjoyed being a Baba for her grandchildren, which were the center of her universe. Anne was always one to reach out to those she cared for, but once you got on the phone, her gift of the gab came into play. She loved to entertain her friends and family, and she made sure that no one ever left with an empty stomach. In the winter, Anne enjoyed watching curling and team Canada play in the juniors. Now this was a special time of year because it was one of the very few times where Anne would keep the phone calls short and sweet to pay attention to her precious game.

Anne leaves behind to cherish her memories, her children, Amanda (Steve) Wartman, and Alicia (Ronan McDermott) Renkas; grandchildren, Alexis Wartman, and her "little man" Owen Wartman; as well as many nieces, and nephews and other family members. She was predeceased by her husband Allan Renkas; her parents, Michael and Olga Korchinski; her sister Martha; and her two brothers David, and Metro.

A Funeral Mass will be held at the St. Stanislaus Church (216 5th Ave. S.W Ituna, SK) on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at 10:30 a.m.
